Check out what's happening this week at Youngstown State University.Wednesday, Sept.10, 7 p.m. Paula Mouser, assistant professor, Department of Civil, Environmental and Geodetic Engineering, Ohio State University, presents “Biodegradation of Organic Additives in Hydraulic Fracturing Fluids” in Room 2000 of Moser Hall on campus. The lecture is part of the Fall Semester Speaker Series on Energy and the Environment, organized by Ray Beiersdorfer, professor of Geological and Environmental Sciences.

Thursday, Sept. 11, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Walmart Career Fair Cookout at the fountain on the east side of Kilcawley Center on the YSU campus. In addition to food and free giveaways, the event will feature information on careers at Walmart, the culture of Walmart and charitable efforts of Walmart. Saturday, Sept. 13, 6 to 8 p.m. The McDonough Museum of Art at YSU hosts an opening reception for “Reunion II Alumni Invitational,” featuring art from distinguished alumni of YSU’s Department of Art. More here.
