TV Ed O’Neill receives an honorary degree at YSU’s spring undergraduate commencement on Saturday.

Tuesday, May 14, 9 a.m. News conference in the Presidential Suites in Kilcawley Center at YSU to announce a major, $1 million-plus scholarship initiative for YSU students.

Tuesday, May 14, 11 a.m. YSU baseball plays Canisius at Eastwood Field in Niles, the last home game of the regular season.

Thursday, May 16, 7 p.m. David Hume Kennerly, Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist and former presidential photographer, speaks in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center at YSU. Free. More here.

Friday, May 17. Youngstown native and television star Ed O’Neill is the featured guest at a fund-raising dinner at YSU. Seating is limited for the event that provides the opportunity to meet O’Neill in a small setting. Tickets are $250. Other sponsorship levels are also available. Saturday, May 18, 10 a.m. YSU Spring Undergraduate Commencement will be in Beeghly Center on campus. TV star Ed O’Neill will receive an honorary degree. Tickets are required to attend the undergraduate commencement ceremony. Tickets are only available to graduates and their families and not the general public. Individuals without tickets can watch live streaming of the ceremony in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center or on their computer at http://www.horizonleague.org/live/8663.

Saturday, May 18, 2:30 p.m. YSU Spring Graduate Commencement will be in Beeghly Center. Retiring YSU President Cynthia E. Anderson gives the commencement address. Unlike the morning undergraduate ceremony, tickets are not required for the afternoon event.
