Tuesday, March 5, 7:05 p.m. The Penguins’ men’s basketball team plays in the first round of the Horizon League Basketball Tournament in Beeghly Center.

Thursday, March 7, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The College of Fine and Performing Arts and the community arts and cultural group Power of the Arts presents “What the Heck is an LLC,” is first in a series of free events aimed at the business side of the arts. The session is in the McDonough Museum of Art on the YSU campus.

Friday, March 8, 9:30 to 11:15 a.m. The YSU Women’s Club will be accepting donations of clothing to raise money for its scholarship fund. The club will be collecting new and gently used seasonal women’s and men’s clothing, shoes, jewelry, purses and accessories in the Presidential Suites of Kilcawley Center.

Friday, March 8, 2 p.m. YSU kicks off Women’s History Month with selections from the film, “Women Hold Up Half the Sky,” followed by discussion. The event is at the YWCA, 25 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, and is co-sponsored by Student Diversity and the Center for International Studies and Programs.

Friday, March 8. Application deadline for the Summer Honors Institute. The program for gifted and talented students is June 17 to 21 on the YSU campus. Application packets and course descriptions are available at
