The McDonough Museum of Art at Youngstown State University hosts the 77th Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition, sponsored by the Student Art Association, March 29 to April 12.
An opening reception will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 29, with award presentations at 7 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public.
This year’s jurors are, Barry Anderson, Greg Coll and Doris Short, representing both studio arts and graphic design.
Anderson is an associate professor at the University of Missouri–Kansas City and teaches courses in motion design, video art, portfolio development, and professional practices. Short is a creative director with more than 20 years experience, including brand development and strategies for several large agencies nationally and internationally such as GlaxoSmithKline, Hewlett Packard, and H&M. Coll is principle of Greg Coll Design and serves on the executive board of directors for AIGA Pittsburgh.
The McDonough Museum of Art is located at 525 Wick Avenue in Youngstown. Admission is free. Parking is available in the Wick Avenue deck for a nominal fee. Museum hours are Tuesdays through Saturdays 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call 330-941-1400.
