This Week at YSU, Feb. 4, 2013

Monday, Feb. 4, 8 p.m. The Dana School of Music hosts a guest artist recital featuring pianist Roman Rudnytsky in Bliss Recital Hall.

Wednesday, Feb. 6, 12:15 p.m. The Dana School of Music presents a free Music at Noon concert in the Butler Institute of American Art. The concert features Early Music.

Thursday, Feb. 7. The women and men Penguin basketball squads play a doubleheader in Beeghly Center. The women take on Detroit at 5:15 p.m., followed by the men against Loyola at 7:45 p.m. More at YSU Sports.

Thursday, Feb.7, 7:30 p.m. The African American Pyramid Awards will be presented in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center on the YSU campus. The achievement of outstanding students from Youngstown City Schools will be celebrated. The event is part of African American History Month.

Friday and Saturday, Feb. 8 and 9. The YSU Ward Beecher Planetarium presents “Footsteps.” The planetarium also shows “Two Small Pieces of Glass” at 1 and 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9. More at YSU Ward Beecher Planetarium.

Saturday, Feb. 9, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. High school students from Ohio, Pennsylvania and Kentucky compete in the Penguin Bowl in Kilcawley Center. More here.

Sunday, Feb. 10, 2:05 p.m. YSU men basketball team plays hoops against Illinoi-Chicago in Beeghly Center.

Sunday, Feb. 10, 3 p.m. The Dana School of Music welcomes the New Amici Trio for a performance in Bliss Recital Hall.

Through March 15.  The 2013 Mid America Print Council Juried Exhibition will be on display at the McDonough Museum of Art at YSU. More here.
