The workshop is open to all ages, 13 through adult. The deadline for registration is Sept. 22. The cost is $40, which includes a choice of four master classes and an informal concert with performances by the guest artists. Guest artists are dance professionals Abbey Alter, Staś Kmieć, Lindsay Renea, Susan Gillis and Heather Taylor-Martin.
Sessions include Improvisation: Beginning Intermediate and Intermediate/Advanced Ballet Technique Classes; Beginning/Intermediate and Intermediate/Advanced Modern Technique Classes; Afro-Caribbean; Broadway Theater Dance; Yoga for Dancers; and Dance Composition. Half day and single class sessions are also offered.
Beeghly Center will be open by 8:30 am to allow for registration and warming up, in the front south lobby of the building. Participants may bring a bag lunch or purchase lunch at a nearby food establishment. Vending machines are available in Beeghly.
Parking is $5 per in the M24 lot near McDonald’s on Fifth Avenue.
