beta gamma sigma logoThe Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter at Youngstown State University has been named a 2014 Premium Chapter and is now able to participate in the BGS Matching Scholarship Program.

Premier Chapters are eligible to provide one annual $1,000 chapter scholarship to any one of its lifetime BGS members. For eight of the past nine years, the YSU chapter has been designated as a Premier Chapter for its outstanding membership acceptance rate.

Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in an undergraduate or master’s program at a school accredited by AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The Williamson College of Business Administration received initial accreditation from AACSB in April of 2000. Only 6 percent of business schools around the globe have earned AACSB accreditation. The YSU Beta Gamma Sigma chapter was installed on June 11, 2000. On June 15 of this year, Dean Betty Jo Licata of the Williamson College of Business Administration was appointed as the chair of BGS’ Board of Governors.
