The Williamson College of Business Administration hosts the semi-annual WCBA Professional Development Seminar for business students 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, in Williamson Hall at Youngstown State University.
Business students in their junior year of study will participate in a variety of workshops that will focus on identifying key knowledge, skills, and experiences that employers expect with new hires and attend informative sessions on how to position themselves for success with their first career opportunity.
Sessions will center on resume building and show students how to develop internship and job search strategies. The program also includes panel discussions with current student interns and workshops on appropriate dress, how to develop a professional online presence, and how to enhance student leadership through networking, WCBA student organizations, and global learning experiences. The event concludes with a professional networking luncheon with faculty and guest speakers.
Other professional development sessions offered throughout the Spring 2015 semester include Personal Marketing Strategies, Speed Resume/Interviewing, and Dress for Success.
