Wednesday, Sept. 4, noon. “Language and Culture Among Hispanics in the United States” is the topic of a brown-bag lunch discussion at the main branch of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County in Youngstown. The discussions are presented by the library and YSU’s Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs. All discussions will be at noon at the Main Branch Library Meeting Room. Friday, Sept. 6, 11 a.m. YSU volleyball Penguins play St. Francis (Pa.) in the YSU Invitational in Beeghly Center. The Penguins also play 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6 vs. Tulane and 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, vs. Toledo.

Friday, Sept. 6, 7 p.m. YSU soccer Penguins play Akron at Farmers National Bank Field on the YSU campus.

Saturday, Sept. 7, 4 p.m. The football Penguins play Morehead State at Stambaugh Stadium.

Saturday, Sept. 7, 7:30 p.m. A free concert featuring YSU Professor of Piano Caroline Oltmanns will be in Anne Kilcawley Christman Memorial Hall at Stambaugh Auditorium in Youngstown. More here.
