YSU Housing and Residence Life present “The Tunnel of Oppression” in the President’s Suites of Kilcawley Center on campus. The Tunnel is a series of interactive displays on a variety of societal issues and -isms, and challenges participants to examine issues of power, prejudice and oppression. Wednesday, Nov. 20, 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. The Ohio Board of Regents meets in the Trustees Meeting Room on the first floor of Tod Hall on the YSU campus. It is the regular monthly meeting of the panel. The Ohio Board of Regents is the state agency that coordinates higher education in Ohio.

Thursday, Nov. 21. Former YSU President Leslie H. Cochran returns to campus to promote his novel, Signature Affair. Cochran was president of YSU from 1992 to 2000. Among the campus events will be a book signing at the YSU Bookstore from noon to 2 p.m., and a faculty and staff gathering at 4 p.m. the same day in the Bresnahan Suites in Kilcawley Center. The former president also will meet with current students and alumni of the Leslie H. Cochran University Scholars program at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 20, in Cafaro House residence hall on campus.

Thursday, Nov. 21, 5 to 7 p.m. The YSU History Club hosts an event at the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor (Steel Museum) featuring Donna DeBlasio of the YSU Applied History program as she presents her published work, Images of America: Youngstown. The event is free and open to the public. The Center is a part of the Ohio Historical Society and operated by the Department of History at Youngstown State University.

YSU hosts the annual Veterans and ROTC Alumni Reunion with a reception/reunion dinner 6:30 p.m. Friday in the atrium of the Williamson College of Business Administration. Cost is $40, and $20 for students. The event continues with a Terrace Dinner at Stambaugh Stadium 12:30 p.m. Saturday ($10 per person), followed by the YSU vs. South Dakota State football game.. Jim Olive, former coordinator of the YSU Office of Veterans Affairs, will receive the Cincinnatus Award.
