Monday, March 9 through Sunday, March 15. YSU Spring Break. No classes.

Tuesday, March 10, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The 18th Annual Northeast Ohio Robotics Education Program Competition is in Beeghly Center. Eighteen teams from 11 schools will compete. This year’s theme is “March Madness” – The Math and Science of Sports (Basketball).

Tuesday, March 10, 1 to 3 p.m. Chris Hanning presents a percussion/drumset guest artist clinic in Room 2326 Bliss Hall on the YSU campus. Hanning is a professor of Percussion at West Chester University in Pennsylvania and a recording artist for NFL Films. He has performed on numerous recordings for NFL Films, including several Emmy Award winning projects.

Wednesday, March 11. YSU Board of Trustees meet 1:30 p.m., University Affairs Committee; 2 p.m. Audit Subcommittee;  3 p.m. Board Meeting; 3:30 p.m., Reception for Outgoing Board members.

Thursday, March 12, 8 a.m. Superintendents and high school principals from throughout the region visit YSU to learn more about YSU’s College Credit Plus program. YSU President Jim Tressel and Interim Provost Martin Abraham will be on hand to address superintendents and principals at the event in McKay Auditorium in Beeghly Hall on the YSU campus.

Friday and Saturday, March 13 and 14, 8 p.m. The YSU Ward Beecher Planetarium presents “Firefall.” Free. The planetarium also presents “Firefall” at 11 a.m. and noon on Saturday, March 13, and “Dynamic Earth” at 1 and 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 13.
