Sunday, Aug. 17, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Move-in weekend continues as students move into residence halls in preparation for the start of Fall Semester classes.

Monday, Aug. 18. Jim Tressel is installed as the ninth president of YSU at a ceremony in Beeghly Center on the YSU campus. The ceremony, which includes the oath of office and an address by Tressel, is open to the public. Free parking will be available on campus. Wednesday, Aug. 20, 9:30 a.m. The ribbon will be cut on the new Chick-fil-A in Kilcawley Center, featuring the Chick-fil-A Cow and Pete the Penguin.

Wednesday, Aug. 20, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The Block Party @ Kilcawley Center/Campus Resource Fair will be in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center, featuring food, karaoke, prizes and much more. The event is part of YSU’s Welcome Week activities. For more information, call 330-941-3571.
