The Youngstown State University Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs is accepting nominations for the Annual Diversity Leadership Recognition Awards. Nomination deadline is Jan. 30, 2015.
The awards and the Diversity Leadership Minority Scholarship will be announced at the 7th Annual Diversity Leadership Recognition Dinner on Friday, March 27, 2015, in Stambaugh Auditorium.
The purpose of the event is to acknowledge, celebrate and embrace diversity at YSU and in the community. Nominees should exemplify a commitment to diversity and inclusion in the following categories:
- Leader of Tomorrow recognizes a current, upper division student (i.e., graduate, senior or junior).
- Community Leadership recognizes an individual from a business, group, agency, organization or community.
- Campus Leadership recognizes a university faculty, staff or administrator who is a leader in the area of diversity and inclusion.
The application for the Diversity Leadership Minority Scholarship is available on the Financial Aid Scholarship website. Scholarship deadline is Feb. 15, 2015.
The event on March 27 will also feature a scholarship benefit concert with Landau Eugene Murphy Jr., 2011 Winner of America’s Got Talent. Tickets are available at the Stambaugh Auditorium Box Office. For ticket information, call 330-259-0555.
