Free software workshop planned

A free workshop on the use of COMSOL 5.0 & High-Freq EM, multiphysics simulation software products, is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, April 17 at Moser Hall on the campus of Youngstown State University.

Edward R. Burden, part-time faculty in Computer and Electrical Engineering, is organizing the workshop. Burden is also working on a doctorate in Electrical Engineering at Ohio State University.

The workshop will start with a walk-through of the fundamental modeling steps using the software. Participants will then have the opportunity to set up and solve a simulation through a hands-on exercise. Each participant should bring their own laptop; all will receive a free, two-week trial of the software.
