chemecarMembers of YSU’s Chem-E-Car team, from the left Diana Konik, Nicole Abate and Jason White, prepare the car for a demo during a sponsors appreciation event earlier this month in Beeghly Center. The YSU squad bested teams from universities across the Midwest, including many Big 10 schools, and placed second at the regional Chem-E-Car contest in Illinois.The team is now eligible to compete at the national tournament in Utah.┬áThe competition hosted by the American Institute of Chemical Engineers challenges college students to design and construct a small car powered by a chemical energy source.
