The 10th annual Youngstown State University and Smoky Hollow 5K Run and Family Fun Walk is Saturday, July 13.
The 5K run starts at 8:30 a.m. with the 1-mile family fun walk starting at 8:40 a.m. Both events start and end inside YSU’s WATTS center.
Entry fee is $15 before July 8 and $20 after or on race day. Race day registration starts at 7:15 a.m. Children 10 and under are free. The first 250 registrants will receive t-shirts. Online registration is available at www.gopherarun.com.
Participants are asked to bring their old, clean running shoes for recycling.
Race winners will receive fruit pies in the following categories: top three male and female runners; to male and female runner over 40; top male and female over 50; and top three places in each age group. All one-mile walk finishers will receive a ribbon. All children participants will receive a medal.
