Wednesday, Sept. 12, 7 p.m. the Youngstown Area Jewish Film Festival continues at USA Cinema in Niles with a screening of “Nicky’s Family,” the story of a unique and courageous figure, Sir Nicholas Winton, also known as “Britain’s Schindler.” The festival continues on Thursday, Sept. 13, 7 p.m., in DeBartolo Hall on the YSU campus with “Ash and Smoke: The Holocaust in Salonika,” directed by Saul Friedman, founder of the YSU Judaic and Holocaust Studies Program, the story of the Jews of Greece. The Festival is sponsored by the YSU Center for Judaic and Holocaust Studies.

Thursday, Sept. 13.
