Check out what's happening this week at Youngstown State University.Tuesday, July 8, 3 p.m. The YSU Board of Trustees’ Collective Bargaining and Negotiations Subcommittee meets in the Trustees Meeting Room on the first floor of Tod Hall.

Wednesday, July 9, 6:30 p.m. Dr. Craig Seidelson, chief engineer for Timken Corp. in China, lectures on “How ‘Made in China’ Became the World’s Most Recognized Brand” in Moser Hall on the campus of YSU. More here.

Friday, July 11, 3 p.m. Power of the Arts, a community arts and culture organization, hosts a Town Hall session in Bliss Recital Hall on the first floor of Bliss Hall on the campus of YSU. More here.

Saturday and Sunday, July 12 and 13. The 16th annual Summer Festival of the Arts, showcasing the works of more than 75 artists and featuring food and dozens of music, theater and dance performances, will take place on the YSU campus. Admission is free. Saturday hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday’s hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Saturday, July 12, 6:30 p.m. The Downtown Jazz Fest, featuring saxophonist Kim Waters, will be in downtown Youngstown near the Central Square. Tickets for the Jazz Fest are $10 and are only available at the gate.
