YSU honors 4.0 students with new President’s List

Youngstown State University has released its first President’s List, honoring students who earned a 4.0 grade point average during the Fall 2014 Semester.

“This is an important way for us to recognize and celebrate academic excellence and the outstanding students we have at YSU,” said Betty Jo Licata, dean of the Williamson College of Business Administration, who led the initiative to create the new honor.

The formation of the new President’s List was approved by the Dean’s Council and the Academic Senate at YSU. To be eligible for the list, a student must carry a semester grade point average of 4.0 and take a minimum of 12 semester hours of credit.

“Earning a 4.0 GPA is a remarkable achievement and one to be celebrated by being named to this exclusive list,” Licata said.
