Alum speaks on campus, performs at Cedar’s

Lisa A. Miles, a graduate of Youngstown State University and now a professional creative artist based in Pittsburgh, will speak to the YSU Student Literary Arts Association 12:30 p.m., Thursday, April 5, in Bresnahan Rooms 1 and 2 in Kilcawley Center on the YSU campus.

Miles, who earned a bachelor’s degree in English from YSU with a minor in Applied Music, will also perform 7:30 p.m. at Cedar’s at 23 N. Hazel St., in downtown Youngstown.

Her appearance is supported by the Gratia Murphy Fund, the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences and the English Department.

Miles has been a professional in the creative arts for more than 25 years, blending her interest and expertise in the arts, humanities, writing, communication, consulting, professional development and even mental health. She has composed, performed and produced music and cross-disciplinary pieces; researched and written two books, taught; worked therapeutically; consulted and lectured extensively.
