WYSU hosts trip to Peru

WYSU is planning a trip to the historic site Machu Picchu.

Machu Picchu, the mythic “lost city of the Incas”.

WYSU-FM 88.5 is sponsoring an 11-day tour of ancient Peru and Machu Picchu May 14 to 24.

The trip includes visits to Lima, Peru, colonial Cuzco, the Andes and Machu Picchu, the mythic “lost city of the Incas.”

The price per person, departing from Pittsburgh, is $3,369 and includes round-trip air transportation with a major airline and airport transfers; the services of a bilingual Go Ahead Tour Director; a professional local guide in Lima, Cuzco, the Sacred Valley of the Incas and Machu Picchu; eight nights hotel accommodations in hotels including baggage handling, buffet breakfast daily, four lunches, four three-course dinners (including wine or beer), private deluxe motor coach and train transfers to and from Cuzco and Machu Picchu.

Note that travelers should be prepared for some high-altitude travel, which may make walking more difficult. While sightseeing will never involve strenuous hikes, some walks and climbs over very old ruins and uneven, rocky or jungle terrain will occur. Travelers should be comfortable with climbing steps and small hills.
