Monday, Aug. 20, 10 a.m. YSU President Cynthia E. Anderson presents the annual State of the University address in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center on the YSU campus.

Tuesday, Aug. 21, 11:20 a.m. Brian Crow,  professor of Sport Management at Slippery Rock University and an international expert on hazing, talks about “Campus Hazing: Prevention and Education” at as part of YSU’s 16th annual Student Leadership Summit. The presentation is in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center.

Thursday, Aug. 23, 6 to 9 p.m. Students get covered in bubbles and foam at the annual Foam and Dance Party at Rec 5 area on the YSU campus.

Friday Aug. 24, 1 to 3 p.m. The YSU Office of Alumni and Events hosts a Welcome Week event on the lawn and porch of Alumni House on Wick Avenue. The purpose of the event is to gather students and introduce them to faculty, staff and campus leaders. The event will include remarks by President Cynthia E. Anderson, college displays, sandwiches, chips, Handels ice cream, bottled water, music/karaoke, and the Marching Pride.

Saturday, Aug. 26, 7 p.m. “Meet the Pride,” YSU’s marching band, at Stambaugh Stadium.
