Thanksgiving turkey

YSU is closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 28 and 29, for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Monday, Nov. 25, 8 p.m. The Concert Band and Wind Ensemble of YSU’s Dana School of Music perform a concert at Stambaugh Auditorium.

Saturday, Nov. 30. Ward Beecher Planetarium presents “Comet the Cat and the Rocks from Space” at 1 and 2:30 p.m. and “Firefall” at 8 p.m. Free.

Saturday, Nov. 30, 4:35 p.m. YSU women’s basketball plays West Virginia at Beeghly Center, followed by the men taking on Austin Peay at 7:05 p.m., also in Beeghly Center. More at

Monday, Dec. 2, 8 p.m. YSU Dana School of Music piano students, under the direction of Caroline Oltmanns, perform “Piano X-travaganza – A Piano Christmas Concert” in Bliss Recital Hall. Featuring well-known classical selections, including works by Schubert, Grieg and Beethoven, the concert will also contain a harp selection. Free.
