Thursday, Jan. 23, 8:30 a.m. The 12th Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Diversity Breakfast will be held in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center on the YSU campus. Thursday, Jan. 23, noon. A lecture titled “Historical Understandings of War Trauma and PTSD: An exploration of social history through cultural narrative” will be presented in Room 3140 of Cushwa Hall. The lecture will be given by Sheena Eagan Chamberlin of the University of Maryland University College. More here.

Thursday, Jan. 23, 6 p.m. “Uncharted,” an exhibition highlighting the work of three new faculty members of the Department of Art at YSU, opens with a reception in the McDonough Museum of Art on the YSU campus. More here.

Friday and Saturday, Jan. 24 and 25, 8 p.m. YSU’s Ward Beecher Planetarium presents “Footsteps.” The planetarium also shows “Flight Adventures” at 1 and 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25.

Saturday, Jan. 25. Basketball doubleheader at Beeghly Center, with the women facing Oakland at 4:35 p.m., followed by the men against Wright State at 7:05 p.m.

Sunday, Jan. 26, 4 p.m. YSU’s Dana School of Music presents a guest artist recital by Sean Baran and James Vasconi, who will present Schubert’s Fantasy in F minor for four-hands on one piano, as well as lesser known works for four-hands on one piano by Dvorak and Rachmaninoff. Piano music for four hands refers to a specific form of piano duet, for a single piano with two players. Free. Parking available in the Wick Avenue deck for a nominal fee.
