Sunday, Feb. 14, 3 p.m. YSU’s Dana School of Music presents a free recital in Bliss Recital Hall featuring guest artists Michelle Abraham, violin, and Vincent Scacchetti, viola, who will join Dana faculty Joseph Kromholz, violin; Jeffrey Singler, cello; and Cicilia Yudha, piano, in an afternoon of music for Valentine’s Day. Tuesday, Feb. 16, 5:10 p.m. Visual artist John Peña presents a lecture in the McDonough Museum of Art. The presentation is sponsored by the YSU Department of Art Visiting Lecture Series. Free and open to the public.

Tuesday, Feb. 16, 7 p.m. UIC visits Beeghly Center to face the Penguins in a Horizon League men’s basketball contest.

Wednesday, Feb. 17. The eighth annual YSU College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Awards Dinner is in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center on the YSU campus. Reception begins at 6 p.m., followed by a buffet dinner at 7 p.m. and the awards program at 8 p.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 17, 7 p.m. Dr. Bernard Goldstein of the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health presents “Differing European Union and United States Approaches to Environmental and Energy Issues” as part of the YSU Lecture Series of Energy and the Environment in Cushwa Hall Room B112. Free.

Friday, Feb. 19, 7 p.m. Women’s basketball at Beeghly Center; Bucknell takes on the Penguins.

Friday and Saturday, Feb. 19 and 20, 8 p.m. YSU’s Ward Beecher Planetarium presents “From the Earth to the Universe”. The planetarium also shows “This is Our Sky” at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20. Free.

Saturday, Feb. 20, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. YSU’s Lariccia School of Accounting and Finance provides free tax preparation as part of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. The program is offered in computer labs on the first floor of Williamson Hall at YSU. For more information, call 330–941-3084.
