Thursday, Dec. 12. The YSU Board of Trustees meets on the following schedule. All meetings are in the Trustees Meeting Room on the first floor of Tod Hall, unless otherwise noted: 11:30 a.m., lunch in the Manchester Room, Tod Hall; noon, Trusteeship Committee; 12:30 p.m., Executive Committee; 1 p.m., Investment Subcommittee; 2 p.m., Audit Subcommittee; 3 p.m., Finance and Facilities Committee.

Thursday, Dec. 12, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The Rich Center for Autism at YSU holds a fundraising event called Craft Beer & Wine Taste at Vintage Estates in Boardman. There are two ticket levels: $20 for six tasting coupons for wine or beer as well as flatbreads and snacks, or $10 for just flatbreads and snacks. Raffles and auctions will also take place. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 13 and 14, 8 p.m. YSU’s Ward Beecher Planetarium presents “Holiday Lights.” In addition, “George and Oatmeal Save Santa” will be presented 1 and 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7. Free.

Sunday, Dec. 15, 2 p.m. Fall commencement in Beeghly Center on the YSU campus. Simeon Booker, award-winning journalist known for his coverage of the civil rights movement, will receive an honorary degree. Rose Bonilla, a communications and journalism major, is the student speaker.
