Randy J. Dunn was formally installed as the eighth president of Youngstown State University during a ceremony Friday afternoon, Nov. 1, in Beeghly Center on the YSU campus.

Among those attending and making remarks at the ceremony was John Carey, chancellor of the Ohio Board of Regents.
Dunn became president of YSU on July 15, after nearly seven years as president of Murray State University in Kentucky. Previously, he was State Superintendent of Education for Illinois; professor and department chair of Educational Administration and Higher Education at Southern Illinois University; and assistant professor of Leadership at the University of Memphis. He was also the superintendent for two school districts, middle school and grade school principals, and elementary and reading teachers, all in Illinois.
