Kenneth Schindler, executive director of Information Technology Services at Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan, has been appointed Associate Vice President and Chief Technology Officer.
“We are pleased to have Ken on staff as he brings with him deep technical knowledge and experience that will help guide our institution in the years to come,” said Gene Grilli, vice president for Finance and Administration.
Schindler was chosen after a national search and will start the new position on May 7.
Grilli commended Mike Hrishenko, Rick Marsico and Jason Rakers for their leadership of campus technology efforts over the past four years, and he thanked the committee that led the search, chaired by Gary Sexton.
Schindler previously was director of Information Services at Valley Technical College in Appleton, Wis., and director of the Bureau of Information Technology Services for the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
