The International Trade Assistance Center at Youngstown State University and the Business Resource Network will hold an International Round Table at the BRN offices on Boardman-Canfield Road in Boardman 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 18.
The event is designed for companies that want to increase their business volume by exporting. Among the topics that will be discussed are export readiness assessment, market research and strategies, export compliance education, cultural and language assistance, export documentation, export financing assistance and trade mission preparation.
The International Trade Assistance Center offers a variety of export counseling at no cost to small- and medium-sized businesses throughout the tri-county area that are interested in developing international markets, and to existing exporters wanting to expand their markets.
Mousa Kassis, international trade advisor for ITAC, will be available to offer assistance or answer questions. He previously established export markets and opportunities in Canada, Kuwait, Djibouti and India. As ITAC adviser, Kassis connects U.S. companies with international companies and assists with negotiations in a number of industries including mining, construction, solar energy and water purification.
