The university’s search for a tenant for a prominent restaurant space on Lincoln Avenue ended with the ribbon-cutting for Hot Head Burritos last month. The building on the corner of Lincoln Avenue and Elm Street was the home to Mighty Moe’s restaurant until it closed in 2008. Prior to Might Moe’s, the building housed a Burger King restaurant. In December 2010, YSU purchased the building, as well as the former Rayen Building behind the restaurant. This past fall, the university signed a 10-year agreement to lease the building to VB Companies, led by Pamela Von Bergen of Howland, for $30,000 a year. Von Bergen also owns the Subway restaurant on Elm Street and Rayen Avenue, as well as a Subway in downtown Youngstown.
