The Youngstown Historical Center of Industry & Labor, also known as the Steel Museum, is holding its annual workers’ reunion 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8 at the museum on Wood Street.
All current and former employees of any steel mill, whether Youngstown Sheet & Tube, Republic Steel, U. S. Steel, Sharon Steel, Wean United or Youngstown Foundry, and their families are invited to attend the free event.
Also invited is anyone interested in learning more about the mills. This reunion allows people to reminisce about Youngstown’s “heyday,” reconnect with old friends and hear stories about steel mill work.
YHCIL is an Ohio History Connection site located at 151 W. Wood Street in Youngstown. The museum is managed by the History Department at Youngstown State University. Group & guided tours available by appointment. Email: email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
