Grassroots forum set for Feb. 23

“Impact of Grassroots Movements: Labor, Civil Rights, The Middle Class” is the title of a presentation 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, in the auditorium of DeBartolo Hall on the campus of Youngstown State University.

The event is part of the YSU Black Faculty and Staff Association’s Race and Politics Forum.

The meeting will be moderated by Hasheen Wilson, BFSA president, and will include panelists John Russo, co-director of the YSU Center for Working Class Studies; William Binning, chair emeritus of the YSU Department of Political Science; Staughton Lynd, peace/civil rights activist and author; and Christopher McKee of the Mahoning Valley Organizing Collaborative.
