FBI Special Agent Deane Hassman will make a presentation on ethics 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, in the auditorium of the Williamson College of Business Administration at Youngstown State University.
The event is presented by WCBA in collaboration with the student chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants.
Hassman is a non-practicing certified public accountant who graduated from Kent State University in 1991 with a degree in accounting. He spent several years in the commercial audit division of the accounting firm of Arthur Andersen in Cleveland. In 1995, he was hired as a special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Deane is currently assigned to a white-collar crime squad in the Youngstown FBI office and specializes in financial crimes and public corruption cases. His presentation will focus on his experiences and observations about white-collar crime and corruption, especially as they relate to ethics.
