Youngstown State University has joined forces with Educators and Community Helping Hispanics Onward and Organizacion Civica y Cultural Hispana Americana Inc. to host the annual ECHHO College Fair as part of the National Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration.
The fair is scheduled for 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, at OCCHA, 3660 Shirley Road in Youngstown. The event is designed for high school students and their parents to learn about the various college opportunities from ECHHO-member institutions. The program provides answers for the growing number of students wishing to enroll in colleges, as well as their families seeking information about college selection, tuition costs, financial aid and scholarships.
ECHHO is a collaborative network of educators and community leaders who provide awareness and access to educational opportunities (e.g. college fairs, scholarships, job placement and workshops) for the empowerment of Hispanic/Latino people.
