Deadline is Friday, April 18 for the Youngstown State University Department of Economics’ sixth annual Stocks Essay competition.
The contest is named after the former chair of the YSU economics department.
Undergraduate students at YSU should submit a 2,000-word essay on any economic topic relevant to society. The essay should have a clearly defined policy issue which the author analyzes from all sides and then suggests a policy solution based on the arguments presented.
Ten finalists will be invited to the department’s year-end dinner gala, where winners will be announced. The first place prize is $250, with $150 for second place and $100 for third place.
