The deadline is Friday, Dec. 20, for nominations for the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Diversity Awards at Youngstown State University.
Faculty members, chairpersons, deans, students, student organizations, executive, professional and classified staff may make nominations for the awards. Awards will be made on the basis of extraordinary services rendered by an individual or organization that promotes diversity and inclusion as essential elements of the YSU mission.
Categories of awards include: undergraduate achievement; graduate achievement; mentorship; distinguished service; community service and student diversity. The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Committee will review all nominations and select the 2013-14 recipients.
Nominations must include the name of the nominee, address and phone number, title, department, the category for which the nomination applies, name of the nominator, the nominator’s address and phone number, date and the rationale for the nomination. Nominations should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or faxed to 330-941-2088. Deadline is Friday, Dec. 20.
Awards will be presented at the Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast, at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center on the YSU campus.
