Students considering attending Youngstown State University’s Dana School of Music are invited to a Fall Open House, Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 8:30 a.m. in Bliss Hall’s first floor lobby near the University Theater Box Office.
Students will have the opportunity to experience a day at Dana by meeting professors and current students, and by sitting in on vocal and instrumental ensemble rehearsals, student and faculty recitals, and other classes. A full day of information and music has been planned to assist students considering an education in music. Audition and admission information will be available as well as scholarship and financial aid materials.
Students should bring their musical instruments.
“The Dana School of Music has provided quality music education for almost 150 years, producing outstanding alumni in vocal, performance and music education,” said Alice Wang, interim director of the Dana School of Music. “We are very proud of our history and continuity of educating those who want to pursue music as their life’s work.”
Registration is preferred but not required. To register, visit www.ysu.edu/ccac/music. Parking is free and available in the Wick Avenue deck.
