Rich Wetzel of Poland, Ohio, will be the student speaker at Youngstown State University’s Fall Commencement at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, in Beeghly Center on the YSU campus.
Wetzel will receive a bachelor’s degree in International Business and Entrepreneurship. He is currently the Entrepreneur Intern at the Youngstown Business Incubator, which recently was named the number one university-affiliated business incubator in the world. He has studied abroad in Ireland, won first place in the 2014 Oh-Penn Business Plan Competition, and interned in New York with MakerBot, the largest manufacturer of desktop 3D printers in the world. After graduation, Wetzel will take on a full time position at the Youngstown Business Incubator as the additive manufacturing strategic business planner.
Tom Humphries, president and chief executive of the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber and a member of the Ohio Board of Regents, will give the commencement address. A graduate of YSU, Humphries previously was general manager of Ohio for Sprint Corp. He is also the principal of Data Voice Systems Review Inc., which implements telecommunications and associate services for companies across North America.
